I’m Ben Whitehurst, a graphic designer and photographer with a deep passion for music culture. For the past six years I’ve worked across the creative industries, both in studios and agencies, covering sectors from beauty and retail through to sport, health and wellness. Alongside that, I earned a First Class BA Hons in Graphic Design from the University of Chester and I’m currently studying an MA in Art Direction at Manchester School of Art.
My work focuses on capturing raw energy, emotion and narrative, whether that’s a live performance, a brand campaign, or a personal milestone, always with the goal of telling stories that connect. Beyond photography, I bring creative direction to projects of all shapes and sizes, making sure every image and design strengthens the bigger picture.
Easy-going, northern, and always up for a challenge, I like keeping things relaxed while making sure the work is spot on.
Live music is unpredictable, that’s what makes it magic. I capture the raw energy, sweat and atmosphere of gigs and tours, from intimate clubs to festival main stages.

From promo shots to press kits, I create portraits that feel authentic and visually striking, helping artists and bands look as good as they sound.
I craft bold, cohesive design systems, from brand identities and visual guidelines to posters, album covers, merch, and digital assets, that capture your essence and connect with your audience.
A design-led music publication formed from ongoing studies at Manchester School of Art, exploring how sound, emotion, and culture resonate beyond the stage. Thoughtful reviews, creative visuals, lasting impact.
